Icies, as they are called, are sweet-tempered, affectionate, and great with children and other pets. They have great training aptitude and are active without being hyper, and have excelled in dog sports like herding, agility and obedience. They also are happy to curl up at your feet or in your lap, making them excellent family companions.
Our interest in Icelandics began in late 2007 when our friend Cindy Tumiel introduced us t a handsome young man, "Valhalla's Golden Reign", or Sammy, that she had acquired from Margaret Gimblin in Washington State. We decided to help Cindy find a mate for Sammy, and that search led us to Cheryl Shelton of Sand Creek Icelandics in Idaho. Kola moved to Texas in the spring of 2008 when she was three months old and she has settled in famously with both our packs, which includes Keeshonden, Australian Cattle Dogs, good old American Mutts, cats,ducks and a goose.
